In the middle of Mexico City there is the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Its name is due to two of the best Mexican Formula 1 drivers, Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, an inspiration for the Mexican drivers competing in the World Series Formula V8.
Being able to compete in a circuit like Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a real pride for Diego Menchaca (Fortec Motorsport). First, it means returning to compete in his country after 6 years without being able to do it since he moved to Europe to achieve his dream: to be a racing driver.
Second, competing at home has several extras: his family will be watching him, his friends supporting him, and the Mexican fans will be with an eye on him and his teammate Alfonso Celis Jr., hoping that one of the two Mexican drivers will rise as the winner of that race.
Apart from all this, Diego will make a massive effort to be the winner of the Mexican race, because of the simple fact that competing at home is a very motivating incentive for him. Both Menchaca and Celis are proud Mexicans, they carry the flag of their country all over the world thanks to the World Series, and to compete in the land that gave birth to them and where they raised, makes this race very special for both them.
For several weeks, our Mexican drivers haven’t stopped promoting the race with a very special enthusiasm. Menchaca and Celis have attended to the Mexican medias such as radio and television, have realized tens of interviews with the journalists and participated in the presentation events. They even made a road show through the city center of Mexico City!
After the preparations and a good training, now there is only one thing left: win the race! ¡Buena suerte, amigos!
