Escudería Telmex driver Tatiana Calderon will make her World Series debut in this weekend’s Bahrain season finale.
The Sauber F1 Team development driver from Colombia, aged 24, raced with the Italian team in the EuroFormula Open previously and now she’s ready to join her team-mates Roy Nissany and Yu Kanamaru.
Tatiana, who tested the Formula Renault 3.5 car back in 2015 will become the third female driver to race in a World Series Formula V8 3.5 event after Pippa Man and Beitske Visser.
“I’m very much looking forward to competing in Bahrain within the World Series, I have a very good relationship with RP Motorsport since I raced for them in EFO” said Tatiana. “It’s a great car to drive with unbelievable speed and Bahrain is one of my favourite tracks”.
“We are really satisfied to welcome Tatiana again”, said Fabio Pampado, Team Principal in RP Motorsport “This time in a much faster car! We have great memories from her in our Euroformula Open Season”
