The final qualifying session of the World Series Formula V8 3.5 season in Europe ended up with another debut pole for Alex Palou (Teo Martin Motorsport). After setting the fastest lap of qualifying 1 on Friday, the Spaniard continued to push on Saturday setting a lap of 1:42.840. It was a thrilling experience for him as he had a provisional pole of 1:42.080 deleted earlier due to a track limits infraction in turn 4.
It was a great day for rookies at the Nurburgring. Also on the front row for race 2, starting tomorrow at 11:00, Diego Menchaca (Fortec Motorsports) continued to prove quick after leading the Collective Test 1 session on Friday morning. The second row will be shared by Russian Matevos Isaakyan (SMP Racing by AVF), who replicated his qualifying 1 result, and Israeli Roy Nissany (RP Motorsport).
Championship leader Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) will start back in row 3 behind Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF).

“This is our second pole position in less than 24 hours, I’m more than happy for the result we achieved. Teo Martin Motorsport did a great job on the car and we have even improved compared to yesterday. Of course now the expectations are really high for both races, let’s see what will happen”.
